Valley of the Sun – Volunteer and Project Coordinator 2015

The AmeriCorps Volunteer and Project Coordinator primary areas of responsibility include coordinating the efforts of the year-round volunteers for fall prevention, ramp building, and special projects. This includes recruiting/ training new volunteers, ensure regular communication with the volunteers and all necessary materials and supplies are ready for each volunteer project. This position may assist with project site reviews for the AZ Ramp program and paint-a-thon.
The AmeriCorps Volunteer and Project Coordinator will assist in all project preparation by organizing supplies, developing project information sheets, and leading groups of volunteers. This may include significant work in the warehouse.
All AmeriCorps members and staff participate with special project event days. The AmeriCorps Project and Outreach Coordinator will serve primarily at an office environment and attend ramp builds to interact with community volunteers. She or he will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of non-profit construction and project management.
