Top Twenty Financial Issues for Nonprofits
Nonprofit organizations should be managed like a for profit business with a focus on success and financial prosperity striving to achieve the mission of the organization.  However, there are unique challenges for a business that includes fundraising and grant money for most if not all of their revenue.  Utilizing a volunteer board of directors to lead the organization and a mixture of paid staff and volunteer help to provide the program services also require distinctive procedures to ensure the appropriate use of resources.  In this session we will highlight the top twenty issues that impact a nonprofit organization financially from audit concerns, internal controls, financial reporting and budgeting.
