GRANTS/PROGRAM MANAGER


Reporting to the Director of Corporate and Institutional Relations, this position will manage Rebuilding Together’s pass-through grant process for several large corporate sponsors and the affiliate network. Additionally, this position will support and assist Rebuilding Together affiliates throughout the grants process to ensure that all partnership goals of grants are met. This position will also participate in research critical to identifying potential revenue streams for our national initiatives, and write proposals to corporate sponsors.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the grant process for several large corporate sponsors, which will include:

• Developing grant cycle systems including applications, evaluations and reports.
• Sending and tracking forms for affiliates accepting grants along with specified criteria.
• Creating on-line grant applications, evaluations and reports for Rebuilding Together’s website.
• Working with sponsors and/or staff to select affiliates according to a written selection process.
• Acting as an account manager for corporate sponsors in the absence of the Director of Corporate and Institutional Relations, or when appropriate.

2. Provide grant assistance and support to the Rebuilding Together affiliate network in relationship to national sponsor grants, including:

• Monitoring the work of the affiliates; ensuring reports are received in a timely manner.
• Working with affiliates as needed to troubleshoot problems and challenges and determine effective and efficient solutions.
• Providing local market support ensuring affiliates provide necessary materials for Rebuilding Together projects (volunteer recruitment help, media templates, key messages, event agenda, etc.).
• Tracking final reports and following up with affiliates when necessary.
• Year-end final reporting to corporate sponsors.

3. Participate in activities related to fund-raising and outreach activities, including:

• Researching prospective corporate donors and funding opportunities for Rebuilding Together, including passthrough funding for the affiliate network.
• Writing grant proposals to secure funding from corporations.
• Working with the entire development staff on other fund-raising efforts.
• Providing support for special projects, as assigned.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Researching funding opportunities to support national initiatives such as the Organizational Development Institute, Veteran’s Housing and Green Building.
• Assisting with applications and proposals to support national initiatives.
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years’ experience in program and/or project management or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Grant writing experience
• Able to work within budget, function well under pressure and be a creative problem solver
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with sponsors and affiliates
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Prospect research experience
• Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to utilize computer applications in a Windows environment
• Strong organizational skills along with the ability to multi task and adapt to change as needed
• Must be flexible and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment
• Must be detail-oriented
• Willing to travel
• Motivated and able to take ownership of assignments through completion


Salary Range: $35,000-45,000
