Conference Call Trainings

Each month, dedicated teleconference trainings are conducted for members of the network.  These calls are designed to motivate the local affiliates to enhance current operations, improve the systems, processes and ability of the leaders engaged in their organization.  In addition to the conference calls, tools, templates and checklists are developed to support each program.  These resources are designed to be put to work immediately following the sessions.
Conveniently low-tech, you can call in to the meeting regardless iof whether you are on a worksite or at your desk and still participate in the training.

Excellence in Project Management:
As the leading expert in home rehabilitation and repair, project management is the key to success for the local RT affiliates.  The Project Excellence Program was designed to ensure consistency and quality in project design and execution across the network.  Join Amy Radachi, from RT Dayton for the second of 6 teleconference series continuing this month.  Each month there will be a PowerPoint presentation along with sample templates, forms and other information to complement the conference call available via the Members Only Website. 
The Sessions being in May2008 and continue through October 2008.  The topics each month are:

Growing Green:
Everyone at RT thinking GREEN these days!  Through the Growing Green Educational Series, Rebuilding Together will be exploring how we already are and can be even more “green” as an organization.  Though this series of trainings, resources, articles, templates and other tools we hope to inspire new ideas and give you practical ways to introduce green concepts to your local affiliate.

X is for Excellence: Working with the Standards of Excellence 
The Standards of Excellence was developed to guide the affiliate network in the application and implementation of sound nonprofit management practices.  These standards were developed in consultation with leading experts in each of these fields of nonprofit excellence.  The Standards are broken down into 10 areas of study:

1. Mission & Core Values
2. Governance
3. Financial Management
4. Development & Fundraising
5. Volunteer Management & Safety
6. Operational Quality
7. Personnel
8. Information and Technology
9. Collaboration
10. Clients & Community Relations/Communications

The teleconference series on the Standards was developed in conjunction with each of these measures in mind, ensuring that RT National provides adequate time and technical assistance to each affiliate so you will have the skills and resources necessary to implement these standards in your local affiliate.   
Affiliates will complete a self assessment, determining where you fall within the standards of excellence.  Once you have determined where you are you will be able to evaluate the training and technical assistance you need in each area to ensure that you are able to meet the minimum requirements by RT National within the two year window.
