James Frison is an inspirational social impact executive who excels at leveraging corporate resources to make a significant impact in the community while enhancing brand reputation. He is currently working as the Senior Director of Corporate Impact for McKesson Corporation and President of the McKesson Foundation.
Prior to McKesson, James spent 8 years with Lowe’s Home Improvement where he led the company's philanthropic efforts while managing an annual budget of over $42 million to benefit global communities within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China and India. In addition to having leadership responsibility for the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation and Lowe's Employee Relief Fund, James has a wealth of experience with non-profit and vendor partnerships, foundation management, corporate volunteerism, employee giving and hardship relief, cause marketing, in-store activation, disaster response and grant distribution. James is an accomplished public speaker having delivered the keynote speech during the SkillsUSA, Boys & Girls Clubs and Habitat For Humanity Global Conferences. He has also served as a company spokesperson for Lowe's having appeared on Good Morning America.
Prior to joining Lowe's, James spent 12 years in various brand management leadership roles at P&G, PepsiCo, Walt Disney World and Snyder's-Lance.
Early in his career, James spent 5 years with General Electric Company as part of the Manufacturing Leadership Program where he later earned his Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
James earned an MBA degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from UNC Chapel Hill and a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
On a personal level, James enjoys practicing mixed martial arts, playing the piano and international travel to 50 countries across 5 continents.
