Rebuilding Together Elects Two New Members to Board of Directors

Felecia Moore Banks, Ph.D., and Lisette Lieberman Join the Organization’s Governing Body

Washington, D.C., March 11, 2024 – Rebuilding Together, the leading national nonprofit organization providing critical home repairs and revitalizing our communities, announced the election of two new members to its board of directors. Felecia Moore Banks, Ph.D., and Lisette Lieberman join other industry leaders governing the organization.

“We’re pleased to welcome these new leaders to the board of directors,” said Guy Cecala, chair of Rebuilding Together’s board of directors and executive chair of Inside Mortgage Finance. “They bring a depth of experience and knowledge that is invaluable to Rebuilding Together as we make progress on our strategic goals, advancing our mission to repair homes and revitalize communities for our neighbors in need.” 

Felecia Moore Banks, Ph.D., M.Ed., OTR/L, FAOTA, is an award-winning associate professor and chairperson of Howard University’s Department of Occupational Therapy and has served in several administrative roles, including the university’s assistant dean of academic affairs in the Division of Allied Health Sciences. As a clinical specialist in physical disabilities, educator and Certified Aging in Place Specialist, she has decades of experience teaching, and designing and developing curriculum. Dr. Banks is also a researcher, frequently presents at professional conferences, and has a passion for working with marginalized and at-risk populations. 

Lisette Lieberman is an executive officer, general manager, and chief compliance officer for SMBC Group in the Americas and serves as a director to the SMBC Global Foundation. Lieberman has spent her career building and transforming global compliance organizations. Her experience includes compliance leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, TD Bank and Societe Generale. An advocate for diversity and inclusion, Lieberman served as head of the Goldman Sachs Women’s Network for the Federation and Executive Office and is an executive sponsor for SMBC Group’s Women’s Inclusion Network.
