On February 7, 2025, Kickoff to Rebuild returned to New Orleans, bringing together volunteers, including more than 100 from Lowe’s, along with other partners and community members to revitalize homes and shared spaces in the historic St. Roch neighborhood. Just northeast of the French Quarter, St. Roch is a culturally vibrant community known for its Creole cottages, shotgun homes, neighborhood park and the iconic St. Roch Chapel and Cemetery.

A safe home is more than just shelter, it’s a solid foundation for stability, education and health. Yet, too many of our neighbors live in unsafe conditions, in homes with leaky roofs, broken plumbing and HVAC systems, trip hazards and other conditions placing them at risk. They cannot make essential repairs on their own or afford home improvement services, including a large number of our nation’s veterans.
