An Early Christmas Gift for an Atlanta Neighbor

"Receiving home repairs in my home is heaven and happiness for me. I've been needing help for the longest. This is like Christmas to me," said Ms. V, an Atlanta native.

Ms. V has lived in her home in one of Atlanta’s legacy neighborhoods for over thirty years. Her community is accented with mature tree-lined streets and beautiful brick homes dating back to the 1960’s. A proud mom and grandma, her dining room wall is adorned with two generations of school awards and sports medals, and her home is filled with thirty years of memories and laughter.

But like many older homes, Ms. V’s home needed repairs and updates for it to remain a safe space for she and her family. This past weekend, Rebuilding Together Atlanta and Beacon Building Products were able to help her out! Working together, the crew was able to make essential safety and accessibility repairs including demolishing an aging deck and removal of an existing floor, along with other interior repairs. Updates were also made to the exterior of the home, which included landscape work and exterior painting. But that’s not all. Through Rebuilding Together’s partnership with Beacon, Ms. V will also be receiving a brand-new roof to keep her warm and dry this winter. With these repairs, she will be able to stay in her home for many years to come and will be able to continue to proudly display her wall of trophies for all who visit.
