Rebuilding Together and Niagara Cares’ Partnership Supports Healthier, Sustainable Communities
Making homes and communities safer and healthier for everyone is the foundation of Rebuilding Together’s work. However, creating long-term, positive change is only possible with strong corporate partners by our side. Over the past year, we worked on several projects with our new partner, Niagara Cares, the charitable division of Niagara Bottling, focused on supporting communities where their teams live and work.
This partnership has already made a meaningful impact on resilience and sustainability in communities from coast to coast. In Bloomfield, Conn., we made improvements to Farmington River Park that will help to preserve the park and enhance the visitor experience. Volunteers restored a community garden across the country in the Pacific Northwest in Tacoma, Wash., which provides neighbors with space to grow food freely, making it easier to access fresh produce.
In Texas, our teams made improvements to educational spaces. We enhanced the Texas River School in Austin, which uses outdoor learning opportunities to support traditional classroom subjects for underserved youth. And in Dallas, volunteers improved and expanded the community garden at Richard Lagow Elementary School, which helps address food insecurity and provides hands-on learning for the students.
Our partnership, now in its second year, highlights Niagara’s focus on sustainability and community service while advancing Rebuilding Together’s efforts to bring neighbors together to build stronger communities. By developing a custom partnership, we engage Niagara employees and other community organizations, enhancing neighborhoods across the country and creating a lasting positive impact for families and future generations.
