Rebuilding Together and Wells Fargo Partner to Rebuild Homes and Communities Across the Country

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 1, 2021 – Rebuilding Together, a leading national nonprofit providing essential home repairs and revitalizing communities, today announced a national initiative with Wells Fargo. The effort will focus on addressing urgent housing challenges through critical housing repairs that help provide safe, healthy and accessible homes for everyone.

The Wells Fargo Builds℠ program provides philanthropic financial support for the construction, renovation, or repair of homes for low-to-moderate income households. Wells Fargo is donating $1.25 million to Rebuilding Together, which is part of a $1 billion commitment made by the Wells Fargo in 2019 to address the U.S. affordability housing crisis through 2025.

“We have a longstanding history of working with Rebuilding Together to strengthen neighborhoods and communities through philanthropy and volunteerism,” said Eileen Fitzgerald, head of housing affordability philanthropy with Wells Fargo. “Through our collaboration we are providing our most vulnerable and underserved communities with safe and stable housing on which they can build their lives.”

Since 2010, Wells Fargo has donated more than $16 million to Rebuilding Together and its affiliate network to support rebuilding efforts across the country, including providing essential home repairs, revitalizing communities, and helping veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, families with children and victims of disaster remain in their homes. Last year, Rebuilding Together and Wells Fargo collaborated to deepen the impact in underserved neighborhoods and communities nationwide, bringing tangible assistance to nearly 100 neighbors.

This year, Wells Fargo will provide essential home repairs in more than 45 communities, helping homeowners nationwide receive quality critical home repairs at no cost to them and allowing them to remain safe and healthy in their homes.
