The work of Rebuilding Together makes homes safer and improves the health of our neighbors; but we can’t do this important work without the support of our dedicated partners. That is why we are excited to announce our 14th annual partnership with Lowe’s.

Since the inception of the partnership in 2007, Rebuilding Together and Lowe’s have collaborated closely to deepen our impact in neighborhoods and communities nationwide. The partnership will continue to focus on addressing urgent housing challenges by providing safe homes for veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, families with children, victims of disaster and frontline workers.

This year’s partnership efforts kicked off in Tampa Bay, Fla. where 30 neighbors received essential home repairs. The repairs included roof replacements, new AC units and water heaters, hurricane-impact windows and wheelchair ramps as part of Kickoff to Rebuild, a multi-home event held annually in the host city of the Super Bowl.

Together, Rebuilding Together and Lowe’s will work to improve housing and health outcomes in underserved communities by providing capacity building and project support for Rebuilding Together affiliates. This will happen through a myriad of initiatives, including five multi-home rebuilds in Charlotte, N.C., Los Angeles, Calif, Cleveland, Ohio, Baltimore, MD and Tampa, Fla.

Additionally, through Lowe’s “Home For A Home” Super Bowl campaign, 13 affiliates in NFL markets will receive $10,000 each to provide essential repairs for frontline workers. In celebration of the winning team and city of Super Bowl LV, $100,000 is being granted to Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay to support frontline workers impacted by COVID-19.

Nationally, Lowe’s is investing $3.5 million in more than 30 communities in need across the country this year. Lowe’s funding also includes support for Rebuilding Together’s AmeriCorps program and $10,000 provided locally for Rebuilding Together affiliates to partner with their local Lowe’s stores for supplies and resources. More than 1,000 homes will be rehabilitated through their contribution.

Year after year, Lowe’s has remained truly committed to our mission. Our partnership and collaborative approach to addressing the housing concerns of our neighbors in need allows us to maximize our impact across the country, helping us get closer to achieving our vision of safe homes and communities for everyone!
