Jenney H. Shen, Senior Vice President, Strategy for Servicing & Correspondent Lending

Jenney Shen is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives for Loan Servicing Operations and Correspondent Lending Divisions. She leads the Correspondent Pricing and Counterparty Management teams, as well as the Strategic Initiatives and Project/Change Management teams.
Prior to joining Freedom, Jenney worked for Fannie Mae for 14 years in a variety of executive roles. She was the interim Chief Customer leading the Single Family sales team which is responsible for all of Fannie Mae’s 1500+ seller/servicers. She had also been the Vice President for Credit Risk Management responsible for managing risk from Fannie Mae’s largest lenders. Prior to that, Jenney was the Vice President for Capital Markets Risk Management, responsible for managing Fannie Mae’s credit sensitive investment portfolios which included assets such as Private Label Securities (PLS), Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), government bonds and reverse mortgage HCMS. During the financial crisis, Jenney led the modeling and analytics team for U.S. Treasury’s Making Home Affordable program (MHA).
Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Jenney was a management consultant for KPMG and BearingPoint with specialization in consumer credit risk management.
Jenney graduated from Georgetown University with high honors. She was the recipient of the Rising Stars award from HousingWire and Special Honoree for Women of Color Magazine’s STEM award in 2018. Jenney is a co-inventor of a U.S. patent for a computer algorithm used to optimize modifications.
