Felicia Chew, MS, OTR, FAOTA, Vice President of Clinical Services, Education, and Staff Development for Genesis HealthCare has 32 years of clinical experience in diverse practice settings, including acute care, mental health, outpatient, and post-acute care. For the past 24 years, she has worked for GRS/GHC, having been a clinical specialist and clinical manager before transitioning to her current role. During her tenure with GRS/GHC, she has experienced many changes in practice and healthcare policy that have impacted care delivery. Felicia has been responsible for the oversight of program standards, development, and implementation in all clinical services, especially defining occupational therapy practice within GRS and developing the education, programs, and resources, to meet the needs of clinicians in the long term care environment and geriatric practice arena. Felicia’s professional activities include executive board member for the New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association, executive board member for the American Occupational Therapy Foundation, past faculty member at Atlantic Cape College (NJ), as well as many ad hoc committees with AOTA and NBCOT. She continues to present at the local, state, and national levels related to clinical, interprofessional and administrative topics. Most recently, Felicia, as a co-PI was awarded a research study contract through the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute for a study in dementia care. She received a BS in Occupational Therapy and a MS in Occupational Therapy Leadership from Misericordia University and is currently pursuing a doctorate at George Washington University.
