This Veterans Day, Lockheed Martin and Rebuilding Together are launching a new partnership to provide safe and healthy homes and communities for veterans and their families across the country.

Did you know veterans constitute nearly a quarter of all neighbors served by Rebuilding Together? Too many of our neighbors who once wore our nation’s uniform and served our country, now live in substandard housing. A shocking 2.3 million veterans living in poverty, unable to afford essential home repairs or modifications, are at severe risk of homelessness.

Like us, Lockheed Martin cares about our nation’s veterans.

Through our Veterans at Home program, we are working in eight communities to rehabilitate homes and revitalize community centers that serve veterans. Veterans at Home provides no-cost preventive home modifications and repairs to veterans and their families to improve safety and accessibility, increase independence and facilitate aging-in-place.

With support from Lockheed Martin, Rebuilding Together will work with veterans and their families to address home repair needs like bathroom renovations, replacing safety lights, removing carpet, and installing new HVAC units to help improve air quality.

At Rebuilding Together, we believe everyone should be given the opportunity to live in a safe and healthy home, especially our nation’s veterans. We look forward to working with Lockheed Martin to deepen our impact and addressing the urgent housing challenges our servicemembers face.
