With all the ups and down of 2021, I am grateful Rebuilding Together continues to be an important safety net for many of our neighbors who are living in unsafe homes or are impacted by natural disasters.
At Rebuilding Together, we believe in the vital importance of a safe, comfortable and secure home. But “home” is not just the physical building we live in.
Born and raised in West Baltimore, Donald was one of 10 children. His father came to Baltimore from Charleston, West Virginia and his mother grew up in Maryland.
Maudie has lived in her Southwest Baltimore home for 47 years. She’s raised four children in her home and it’s where she has many fond memories.
Lakeview neighbor and frontline worker, Delores, lives in a family home that originally belonged to her grandmother. Delores has deep ties to Lakeview and takes great pride in her grandmother’s home. When her family home fell into disrepair, she wasn’t sure where to turn.
This month Rebuilding Together Metro Denver partnered with Evolve to provide essential home repairs and accessibility modifications for four neighbors and a K-8 school in the Ward II neighborhood, located in Aurora, Colorado.
“Respect for all.” That is the one rule that local boxing gym Revolution Fight and Fitness (also known as “The Rev”) instills in its members. The Rev, located in Euclid, OH outside of Cleveland, was brought to life in 2018 by owner Tim Stafford.
One of the ways Rebuilding Together creates stronger impact in our communities is by providing essential repairs to local businesses and nonprofit organizations. One of those is the Lift For Life Academy in St. Louis, MO.
